I remember sleeping four in one bed at the same time
No money, food or clothes. Living that motel life
I dreamt often of my future and how I wanted things to align
I was molested by one of my brothers at ten
And set up by a pimp at seventeen
These were unpleasant scenes
So I suppressed a lot of the memories
I joined the Army, ended up pregnant and married
One day, while carrying our second seed,
He poisoned me after I said I wanted to leave
I didn’t think anyone would believe me
So I moved across the country and raised my two little ladies
After twelve years of simply living for everyone but me
I felt I needed change and decided to leave the East
So, three months later the three musketeers were living in a new atmosphere
I subscribed to a new horizon, learning to manifest intentionally
And love myself unconditionally
I met a man and we started dating after just a few clicks
He came swift and infiltrated real quick
Blinded by his dimming light, my soul slowly began to die
I put on weight and lived in misery each night
Knowing he was lying about everything he supposedly wanted to do
I noticed not only my soul dying but my dreams were suffocating too
I needed to break the toxic bond to let my soul and spirit be renewed
